Organisational structure of RAMDAN

The 8/2002 (III.12.) Order of the Minister of Health specifies those institutes of the National Public Health and Medical Officers Service (NPHMOS) that operate the RAMDAN laboratories. However, due to a realignment of NPHMOS in the meanwhile, the structure of RAMDAN has undergone some alterations, too. At present the following institutes operate the RAMDAN laboratories:

1. The high level radiological laboratory is operated by the NRIRR.
2. The medium level radiological laboratories are operated by the following Regional Institutes of NPHMOS:
   • Central Hungarian Regional Institute of NPHMOS, Department of Radiation Hygiene, Budapest
   • North Hungarian Regional Institute of NPHMOS, Department of Radiation Hygiene, Miskolc
   • Regional Institute of the South Plains of NPHMOS, Department of Radiation Hygiene, Szeged
   • West Transdanubian Regional Institute of NPHMOS, Department of Radiation Hygiene, Győr
   • Regional Institute of the North Plains of NPHMOS, Department of Radiation Hygiene, Debrecen
   • South Transdanubian Regional Institute of NPHMOS, Department of Radiation Hygiene, Szekszárd

The professional work of RAMDAN is coordinated by the Division of Public and Environmental Radiohygiene of NRIRR.
